Ronnie G. Fine

MD

Dr. Fine completed her undergraduate studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She then moved to the U.S. to pursue a career in medicine. She attended Columbia University for her premedical studies and then graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. As she was advancing in her surgical and urological training at Weill Cornell Medical College, she realized that her passion lies in helping children. She spent a year in the lab of Dr. Dix Poppas and Dr. Darius Paduch at Cornell, analyzing the hormonal receptors in tissues of children with ambiguous gender. During her training at Cornell she graduated with credentials in robotic surgery.

She went on to specialize in pediatric urology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Long Island where performed research in complex hypospadias surgical techniques and presented her findings at national conferences. She joined her mentors at Pediatric Urology Associates in 2014. She focuses on advancing the field of hypospadias and reconstructive surgery, which she greatly enjoys. She went on to train others in laparoscopic surgery as faculty at the Pediatric Urology Laparoscopy Course in Toronto.

Dr. Fine brought her expertise to the children of Ecuador when she joined Healing the Children of New Jersey in surgical missions. There she performed pro bono complex genitourinary surgeries on underserved children with congenital and acquired conditions, and found these to be extremely rewarding experiences.

Dr. Fine is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Urology at the NYU Langone Long Island School of Medicine. She holds a board certification in both urology and pediatric urology and she is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. She serves as reviewer for the peer reviewed Journal for Pediatric Urology.

She lives in New York where she loves exploring nature with her husband and three children.
